Whilst farming is the core of what we do, SmartRural is committed to enabling all of rural Scotland to be able to work smarter through the use of LoRaWAN sensor technology. Indeed, our aim of deploying a ubiquitous LoRaWAN network across rural Scotland means we are able to offer connectivity and IoT solutions to a wide range of rural stakeholders to help unlock innovation, value and social good. Our aim is to avoid wasteful overbuild wherever possible and hence we look to collaborate with all other rural stakeholders, to deliver a resource that all parties can access and use to deliver value to themselves or their clients.
We are already working with a wide range of rural stakeholders including utility/infrastructure companies, Local Authorities, insurance companies, environmental groups/agencies and many others to develop projects and implement solutions. Together we can make rural Scotland smarter, safer, greener and more productive.
If you’d like to discuss any rural IoT project please get in touch and we’ll be delighted to explore how we can make it happen.
